Group Making - Ferrari 250GTO

A journey of making a Ferrari 250 GTO.  I make one of the side part and assemblies all other parts at the end with my group.  First of all, we use the 123d Make software to build a slice cutting and laser cut the model 's structure.  We import the STL model of Ferrari 250 GTO and adjust the size and how the slice cutting. The size of uniform scale is H 215mm*W 890mm*L 359mm. The scale depends on the largest size of the MDF can be fitted for the laser cutting machine. Otherwise, the oversize parts need to be glued together. Then we export all the files and laser cut each slice. The material is 3MM MDF board.  Secondly, we assembly the pieces of laser-cut slices.  The slices are too tight, and it might due to the tolerance of laser cutting.    Making the tray / Partner with Rosabel Step 1 - Cut two pieces material in same size & One for each Measuring the material in a big piece and cut the round corners with the cylinder steel. Then mark the inner size with the scribe.     Step 2 - Making a wood template as the inner size.     Step 3 - Hammer the edges Care about with the round corners.      Step 4 - Take the wood template off    Step 5 - Cut the extended corners    Step 6 - Match with partner's half one Step 7 - Adjust & Make it match perfect  Perfect !

Tutorial - Blister Tools you need:   Nylon Mallet (with Edge, with Flat End, with Round) Steel Planishing Hammer Steel Dolly Sand Bag Scribe Tin Snips Files 0.5 to 1 mm thick aluminum sheet Wood Template with shape(blister) 4 set screws and nuts S tep 1 - Laser cutting wood templates and get two pieces of the same shape. Drill four holes at the corner for screws. Step 2 - Cutting & smooth the wood template. Using the files to smooth the edge and offer a good space for the aluminum.  Tips: Careful using the files and avoid changing the shape. Step 3 - Cut a suitable piece of aluminum, and put it between two pieces of wood. Lock three pieces together. Step 4 - Start to hammer the aluminum.
